Hello! My name is Kyle Mumford, the editor of American Llama Magazine. I am a third generation llama owner, and my family has owned llamas since 1980. My wife Jerrika and I have a herd of approximately 25 llamas in Southwest Washington.
I love llamas. I have a few boxes of old llama magazines stored in our spare bedroom and I read them regularly. I enjoy thumbing through and reading the articles and seeing the old advertisements for famous studs of years gone by. It occurred to me recently that there is 50 years of American llama history that is unavailable to new generations of llama enthusiasts (unless they are fortunate enough to be gifted an old box of magazines). There has also been a lack of space to advertise farms and herdsires in recent years. So with those voids in mind I decided to start American Llama Magazine, with the mission of "Preserving our History, Promoting our Industry".
