Gift Ideas for Llama Enthusiasts

It's that time of the year! Holiday shopping for our friends, families, and ourselves (why not?). We've compiled a list for llama enthusiasts, things we'd be delighted to receive ourselves and are confident the llama lover in your family will enjoy as well.

Llama tote bag - Great for carrying supplies to shows, we put our brushes, halters, lead ropes, and more to make it easy to carry everything. This one on Amazon is even on theme, with a great llama print.

Llama Kitchen Accessories - The kitchen is a great spot to add llamas! This oven mitt is super cute, and I love these measuring cups.

New brush - Finding a brush that is high quality and will last a long time for grooming llamas is a great gift. I prefer the slicker brushes with the self cleaning feature to make it easy to maintain. My preference is the brushes that lock with the bristles in so the metal bristles don't get damaged when the brush is not in use. This one by Hertzko is well designed to last for years!

Fancy show halter - I love when my llamas wear their black leather halters in the show ring. The leather halters always look sharp and stylish. They also look great when taking your llamas out in public. Dawn to Dusk Llamas makes several leather halters, this one is my favorite.

2021 Llama Calender - Using photos from our farm tours for the magazine, we put together a calendar each year. Just $25 including shipping with delivery in time for Christmas. Place your order by clicking here.

Llama Weathervane - We received this one as a gift several years ago and love how it looks atop our barn.

A Barn Camera - Who doesn't want to check on their animals while they are away? A great tool all times of the year to keep an eye on things from a distance, or even from inside your house. We wrote a blog post all about how to get setup with one of these if you don't have internet in your barn yet. Read more about it here.

Harness the Fun Driving DVD - Many llama owners dream of training a llama to drive. This DVD is highly recommended by serious drivers and can be purchased at Useful Llama Items website by clicking here.

Drop spindle - A great and affordable way to try spinning wool. With drop spindles you can learn to spin your llama's fiber in a couple hours from YouTube videos. For beginners, I recommend a top whorl in the 1oz-2oz weight range. This one from Schacht (the smallest one) would be a good starter spindle and can be used as a top or bottom whorl. Etsy is also a great place to find handcrafted ones.

Cute face masks - If you have to wear a face mask, why not make it a cute llama one?
Check these two out here and here.

A New Llama! - But seriously, who wouldn't love getting a new llama for Christmas? If you're prepared to add another to your herd, what better way than to surprise your loved one?
